Today's hike began with a 30 minute drive up to the Austrian boarder.
We went through a tunnel to the Slovenian side.
Julie did a little scrambling over the avalanche chute
Then a little eating of cabbage, bean and hot dog (sausage) soup to propel her up the mountains.
Right before town was a medieval castle
We did not really understand this....
Great hike in a Sunday today. The locals were out in big numbers (at the beginning) enjoying a perfect day in the mountains.
We hiked a little over 9 miles, which was the perfect distance. We are staying in the town of Begunje tonight, which is the the home of Slovenian folk music 🎶 (think polka).
If your legs allow you, dance a polka for me! Love the scenery and hearing about your trip.
